Tomorrow is our first game of the Winter Quarter, and I am so pumped!! We’re playing Washington State University who is ranked 7th in the nation. We want to win of course, but we also just want to play well. And we have it in us. We’re a very small team, both in physical stature and number of players, but we love the game. At the end of the day, that’s all that matters.
It starts at 11:00am if anyone is in the area and wants to see some awesome ladies play some rugby.
See ya on the pitch!
Have fun running the heavier team off their feet, some quick passes, direction changes and enjoy out flanking them….
and all the best to your teams front pack!
we gave it our best, and even though we lost, i’m very proud of us all. thanks for your support!!
That’s all one can do, their best. Happy to support!
What positions you play, you look to be a bit of a utility player?
i’m a back, and i usually play wing or sometimes full back. at my level most people expect the team’s weakest players to be at wing, and then i come in and totally knock their socks off!
Woot!! Go fight win (and have fun)!! I’m cheering for ya!!!!
Ughh, so we lost, but all of us had some great moments. My personal favorite: I drove a giant, amazon woman about 2.5 meters to touch!
oh lame about losing. The pushing the giant sounds cool.
I am not too familiar with Rugby though, so what does that mean? Pushing to touch?
i pushed her out of bounds basically, which creates an opportunity to get the ball back in what’s called a “line-out.” i was happy about it because it was the first time i was thinking strategically since i began playing last season.
Oh, that’s awesome! You must have worked hard to get to that point, keep it up!
